ENGLISH GRAMMAR | DIRECT INDIRECT SPEECH | EXERCISE NO. 1 TO 40

 

નમસ્કાર , 

આજની પોસ્ટ માં આપ ENGLISH GRAMMAR માં  DIRECT INDIRECT SPEECH માં  EXERCISE NO. 1 TO 40 માં સમાવેલ કુલ 40 મહાવરાનો સમાવેશ કરેલ છે. તેના નિયમો અને અભ્યાસ માટે વિડીયો દ્વારા સમજૂતી માટેના વિડીયો આપલે છે સાથે સાથે pdf file પણ આપલે છે.

EXERCISE NO. 1 TO 40 

1.       Father  : Why have you came home early ?

Jatin     : I am not feeling well.

Father  : What happened ?

Jatin     : I think I have fever    

2.       Manish  :  May I come in sir ?

Teacher : Certainly.May I know your name ?

Manish : I am Manish.

3.       Reeta  : Neela , are you ready now ?

Neela  : Yes. Where shall we go ?

Reeta  : To the market. Who is with us ?

Neela  : My mother.

4.       Dipal  : Nirali , what are you reading ?

Nirali : English Grammar Book.

Dipali : Have you finished the letter

             writing ?  Be careful. The teacher

             doesn’t allow any mistake.

5.       Father  : Brijesh , are you feeling well ?

Brijesh : NO. I have headache.

Father  : Take the tablet and rest for half an hour.

6.       Jiya     : Father , will you give me 200 Rs. ?

Father : Why ?

Jiya     : I want to buy books.

Father : Here you are.

7.       Nikunj :  Nitu ,are you going for Mona’s party ?

Nitu      : Yes , I am.

Nikunj : when will you go there ?

Nitu      : I may go there at about 7 o’clock.

8.       Anil     :What is your plan during these holidays ?

Anita  : I am thinking to go to Ambaji.

Anil    : I also want to go there.

Anita  : let’s go then. We will have a good company.

9.       Priyanka  : What are you doing , Sonal ?

Sonal        : I am thinkingto go to ambaji.

Priyanka  : Let’s go to the library.

Sonal        : what a good idea it is !

10.    Sonal   : What are you making ?

Sujata  : I am trying to make a model aircraft.

Sonal   :  Have you made it ?

Sujata  :  Let’s go and fly it.

11.    Papa  : Rohan how you first day at school ?

Rahul : it is a nice school.

Papa   : Have you made any new friend ?

Rahul : No.Papa. Not yet. Let’s see tomorrow.

12.    Sunil     : How tired you look , mummy ?

Mother : Yes. I need rest.

Sunil     : Please , go and take rest.

Mother : Wake me up at 4 o’clock.

                I want to go to the bazzar.

13.    Anil   : Let’s go to visit ‘Taj Mahal’ at Agra.

Sunil : How shall we go ?

Anil   : We will go by train.

Sunil  : what a wonderful idea it is !

14.    Mona    : What are doing , Chintu ?

Chintu  : Don’t disturb me, please. I’m busy.

Mona    : Of course, you are. But what you doing ?

Chintu : You shouldn’t disturb me like this.

 I’m  preparing my new time-table. 

15.    Atul : Please give me a ticket for the S.T. bus station.

Conductor : Sorry. I can’t.

Atul           : Why so ?

Conductor: Because this bus will go to Kalupur only.

16.    Sunita      : Mummy , where are you going now?

Leelaben : Daughter, I am going to your

                    uncle’s house now.

Sunita      :  Let me come with you.

Leelaben  : No. Read your lessons today.

                     Don’t waste your time.

17.    Vikky      : Will you join for the picnic ?

Hardik    : Where are you going ?

Vikky      : we have not selected the place.

Hardik    : Let’s go to Tirupati Park.

18.    Mr. Desai : How did you solve this sum yesterday ?

Viinit  : With the help of my elder sister , sir.

Mr. Desai  : What a brilliant idea you have !

Vinit    :Thank you for your motivation, sir.

19.    Ahmad  : Good morning , Zara, how are you ?

Zara      :  Not very fine.

Ahmad : What happened? Can I help you ?

Zara     :  I have got Geometry test tomorrow and

                 I cannot understand this theorem.

20.    Ragini  : How are you Nirali , Today ?

Nirali   : Fine. What shall we do now ?

Ragini  : Let’s go to the library and borrow

                some books.

Nirali   : What a fine idea !

21.    Mother : Rakesh , why are you late today ?

Rakesh : I went to Rakhi’s house.

Mother : You should have told me.

Rakesh : This will not happen again. 

22.    Chetan  : Good morning , How are you ?

Hiral     : Fine. Thank you.

Chetan : Will you help me to solve this sum ?

Hiral     : Sure . But , let me finish my work.

23.    Devyani : Will you marry me ?

Kach      : No, I can’t

Devyani : What is the problem with you ?

Kach      : Now you are my sister as we have

                 the same father.

24.    Dog 2 : They behave like a couple of cats.

Dog 1 : it’ll come to an end. I hope.

Dog 2 : Perhaps it will

Dog 1 : I’m going in now. 

25.    Krupa : What are you going to do tomorrow ?

Kush  : To visit the sea-shore.

Krupa : What a good idea !

             With whom will you go ?

Kush  : With my cousin.

26.    Papa   : Rahul, how was your first day at school ?

Rahul : Ok. Papa. But I haven’t got any friends yet.

Papa   : Well , it’s O.K. You will make friends in

              a day or two.

27.    Radhika said , “ Madhuri , have you done the homework ?”

Madhuri said , “Oh , I have forgotten it , will you help me ?

Radhika said , “Certainly.” 

28.    I said , “Chirag , do you like tea ?”

Chirag , “No. I take coffee.”

I said , “Why?”

Chirag , “ Tea is injurious to health.” 

29.    “Have you finished your lesson, Krish?” Said aunt to her son

“No, aunt.” Replied Krish, hanging down his head.

“Why not, my son ?” asked aunt.

“Because it is so difficult , aunt ,” said Krish.

30.    “Have you seen this film, Jaini ?” said Prakash.

“Yes , twice” said Jaini.

“How is it?”

“very nice. Go an watch it.”

31.    “How costly sugar is now !”said a customer.

“The prices are rising day by day. My business has also gone down. The government seems to be unable to control the prices of sugar.”

32.    “What a nice child you are !” said nurse to Anil.

“Thank you,” said Anil.

“Open your mouth , please.”

“I will open it if you don’t put a tablet in it.”

“All right , all right.”

33.    Karna said , “Arjun , I shall show greater skill than you have shown.”

Arjun said, “O Karna ! You shall soon be killed by me for coming without invitation.”

Karna replied , “ This arena is open to all.”

Arjun said , “ I belong to a royal family. Tell us who your parents are.”

34.    Malay said to Vina , “How are you ?”

Vina replied , “ I am fine.”

Malay said to her,“Will you come for a picnic ?

Vina said , “I will ask my father.”

35.    “What a fine dress you are wearing ! Did you buy it

from here ?” Viraj asked Disha.

“No, I bought it from Mumbai,” she replied.

“How much did you pay for it, Madam?”

“Oh! Only sixteen hundred rupees ,” she laughed.

36.    “”Buy me some new saris , papa ?”

“Why ? You have got as many as thirty.”

“They are all outdated now. I want some new ones.” Meena said.

“I am also outdated. Would you like to have new one?”

37.    “Are you sure that your son is guilty ?” asked Mr. Holmes.

Mr. Holder replied, “Yes , I am because I saw the coronet in his hands. Alas ! My son is involved.”

“Does he admit it ?” asked Mr. Holmes.

“No, he is silent,” replied Mr. Holder.

38.    The angel said , “lt’s too soft.”

“But very tough,” said the lord excited.

“You can not imagine what this mother can do and endure.”

“can it think?”

39.    “Have you seen the Statue of Unity ?” said I. “What a huge man-made statu is coming up there!”

“No, I haven’t. Please give me more details about Statue of Unity.”  Said Nandita.

40.    The teacher said , “Digish, why are you disturbing the class?”

“I didn’t do anything , sir “

“Stand up you bloody boy , and get out. You are telling a lie.”

“Why should I go ? You can do whatever you like.”
